Our operator does. They follow the talent's pace, slow down for pauses and speed up for fast reads, so the talent never has to chase the text.
Most first-timers settle in after two or three takes. We run a short practice read before the first take so the talent can get used to the speed and line length.
Yes. Every kit includes a hand or foot controller for self-paced reads, though most clients prefer an operator following along.
Booking and scripts
Two weeks is ideal, and busy conference seasons fill up sooner. Ask about short-notice dates anyway; we often have an operator free.
That's normal. Your operator edits the script live between takes, so changes from the director or client go straight onto the glass.
A Word file, Google Doc or PDF all work. Send it as early as you can; we format it and send a read-through copy back.
Yes. Local jobs include travel. Out-of-area jobs add travel time and expenses, which we list in the quote.
